Senior Ensemble Audition

We are excited to announce that auditions for the Senior Ensemble of this year's pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, are now open. The auditions will be held on Sunday, 15 September 2024.

To participate in the audition, registration is mandatory and must be completed online. The deadline for registration is Sunday, 8 September 2024, one week before the audition date.

Auditions will begin promptly at 10am. We kindly ask all participants to arrive at Campus West Theatre, Welwyn Garden City by 9:30am.

We are specifically looking for professionals or semi-professionals with exceptional dancing and singing abilities.

Participants must be aged 18 years or older.

What to expect on the day

  • Upon arrival, please register and you will be given a number.
  • There will be a brief presentation explaining how the audition will run.
  • You will be required to perform a short piece, sing and be put through your paces with some dance choreography.
  • Selections will be made throughout the day. If you are not selected, you are free to leave.
  • We estimate that the auditions will end by 3pm (possibly earlier), but please be prepared for a demanding day.
  • The choreographer will be available on the day to answer any questions regarding the production.

General Information

At Campus West, we put the well-being and enjoyment of participants first. Our aim is to create a fantastic, fun, and professional environment for all.

  • Before the audition date, it is essential that you complete the audition registration form. Please note that we will not accept registrations on the day of the audition.
  • As a paid role, you will be required to attend all rehearsals and performance dates. If you are unable to make this commitment, this may not be the right opportunity for you.
  • Upon selection, successful candidates will receive reasonable payments in accordance with equity rates during the production run.
  • Please note that we will not provide individual performance feedback following the auditions.
