Booking, Consent Form Registration and Payment
- To secure a booking, payment must be made in full before the first session. This applies to both online and in-person bookings.
- A booking is valid when a participant completes the Roller City Skating Lesson Consent Form in addition to the full payment for the lesson.
- The fee for the Roller City skating course covers 6 weeks of lessons over a 2-month period during term time. Lessons are offered at various times.
- Once a skate lesson booking is successful, you will receive a confirmation via email or a printed receipt that includes details of your booking.
Safety and Equipment
- While we strive to provide a safe experience at all of our events, it is important for participants to understand that roller skating can be a potentially dangerous activity, and accidents may occur that are beyond our control.
- Participants must ensure that they are physically fit enough to participate in roller skating activities.
- It is necessary for participants to inform the instructor about any medical conditions or injuries that may impact their ability to take part in the lessons. Failure to do so implies that you are assuming the risk of participating in the lesson without any concerns.
- We strongly advise individuals with pre-existing medical conditions or any other condition that may be exacerbated by this activity to refrain from participating in any skating activities.
- Customers who are injured or ill are strongly discouraged from skating.
- Participants will be supplied with protective gear to reduce the risk of injury from falls or collisions. Please ensure that you put on the protective equipment before putting on your skates.
- Management reserves the right to remove skates from anyone who they suspect as being a danger to themselves or others at any time.
- Please be sure to follow all skate safety rules outlined in the Roller City Skating Safety Rules page, which can be found at: https://www.campuswest.co.uk/roller-city/roller-city-skating-safety-rules/
Attendance and Punctuality
- We encourage participants to attend all scheduled lessons. No make-up sessions will be provided for missed classes.
- If you fail to attend a lesson, your session will be considered void, and no compensation will be provided.
- Participants should arrive early to prepare and get ready before the lesson begins.
- Attend your lesson according to your booked schedule. Attempting to attend a lesson on a different date or time slot may result in rejection by the instructor.
Code of Conduct
- All participants are expected to behave respectfully towards instructors and fellow skaters.
- Any form of harassment, bullying, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate expulsion from the program without a refund.
- Any issues of concern must be reported to Campus West, unless participants and instructors can reach a private settlement.
Photography and Media
By participating in the lessons, participants are giving their consent to be photographed or filmed for promotional purposes. If a participant does not wish to be photographed, they must indicate their preference on the Consent Form.
Cancellation and Refunds
- No refunds will be issued if a customer cancels a lesson, either before or during its duration.
- Participants will receive a full refund in the event that Campus West cancels a lesson.
- Non-attendance or missed weeks by the customer will not be eligible for a refund.
- Campus West cannot be held responsible for any expenses or losses incurred by the customer due to a cancellation or change made by Campus West.
- All lessons are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged. It is strictly prohibited to pass your lesson on to another person.

- Campus West and its partners are not responsible for any injuries or damages that occur during the lessons. Participants skate at their own risk.
- Campus West is not liable for any loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings brought onto Campus West premises.
- Participants are responsible for any injuries resulting from not wearing safety gear. Campus West and its partners will not be held accountable for any injuries that arise from this decision.
- Once enrolled in our skate lesson course, it is the customer's responsibility to inform Roller City Management or the lesson instructor of any changes in the skater's personal circumstances, such as changes in health or contact details. If the customer is under 18 years old, this responsibility falls on the parent, guardian, or caregiver.
